About Adina

Adina Robinson is a Licensed Acupuncturist and Certified Medical Sports Acupuncturist who specializes in Acupuncture Sports Medicine, Pain Management, and Aroma Acupoint Therapy. Adina received her Bachelors Degree in Anthropology and Black Studies from the University of California Santa Barbara.  She began her career in Acupuncture at the Santa Barbara College of Oriental Medicine where she earned her Masters Degree in Traditional Chinese Medicine and Acupuncture. While attending her Masters program Adina took part in an intensive study course in Wan Zhou China. There she had the opportunity to work alongside both Medical Doctors and Medical Acupuncturists in a local hospital. This experience shaped Adina’s interest in the combination of Western Medical treatment and Acupuncture.

For over a decade Adina has dedicated her time to her private practice located in beautiful El Dorado Hills. During this time, in an effort to help herself so she could better help others, she began a personal meditation practice and studied the effects of essential oils on Acupuncture points, also known as Aroma Acupoint Therapy. Adina provides a space in her practice for both guided and silent meditation and Aroma Acupoint Therapy. She feels that a healthy mind is essential for a healthy body and through meditation and Aroma Acupoint Therapy is able to share this with her patients.

Adina is a mother of three, whose interest in Sports Medicine began while watching her children play in youth sports.  This interest lead her to further her education in Acupuncture Orthopedics and Acupuncture Sports Medicine which ultimately brought her to an apprenticeship under the Pioneer of Medical Sports Medicine, Whitfield Reeves. In 2017 she completed her Certification and currently uses her skills and knowledge in her private practice.  Adina treats youth, young adult and adult athletes helping them with rehabilitation, pain management and injury prevention. Adina understands how the “mental aspect” of sports is important, especially in performance, and provides her patients with individualized meditation and emotional support with Aroma Acupoint Therapy.

When not  in her office you can often find Adina cheering her children on from the sidelines of the baseball or softball field, basketball court and volleyball court. Adina enjoys spending time with her family, going to sporting events, gardening, and being outdoors. She has a special love for the Hawaiian Islands and escapes there as often as she can to dip her feet in the warm tropical waters.
