What Is Cosmetic Acupuncture?
Cosmetic acupuncture, sometimes called facial rejuvenation acupuncture, uses very fine acupuncture needles placed at specific points on the face and body. Facial points are selected to support circulation, facial muscle tone and overall skin health, while body acupuncture allows me to take a whole-person approach to treatment.
In Traditional Chinese Medicine, we don't look at the skin in isolation. Sleep, stress, digestion, circulation and overall health are all part of the picture. That's why your treatment includes whole-body acupuncture to address your individual TCM patterns—not just needles in the face.

What to Expect with Cosmetic Acupuncture
Cosmetic Acupuncture is designed as a series of 12 treatments, typically scheduled 1–2 times per week. Facial rejuvenation happens gradually, and this consistency allows us to work with your skin and whole-body patterns over time.
Each session begins with a check-in about how you're feeling, including things like stress, sleep, digestion and any changes you've noticed in your skin.
Your treatments may include:
- Facial rejuvenation acupuncture
- Whole-body acupuncture based on your individual TCM patterns
- LED light therapy
- BioMat therapy
- Facial gua sha, facial cupping or tuning forks when appropriate
- Professional skincare support
Most people find Cosmetic Acupuncture surprisingly relaxing. It's facial rejuvenation, but it's also time to slow down, reset and care for the whole you.
Cosmetic Acupuncture vs. Microneedling: Which Is Right for Me?
Both Cosmetic Acupuncture and Microneedling support natural-looking facial rejuvenation, but they work differently.
Cosmetic Acupuncture is a gentle, whole-body approach using facial and body acupuncture to support circulation, facial muscle tone and overall skin health. My Cosmetic Acupuncture program includes 12 treatments, typically scheduled 1–2 times per week, with little to no downtime.
Microneedling works more directly on the skin, creating controlled microchannels that stimulate the skin's natural repair and collagen-building process. It's a better fit for more targeted concerns such as fine lines, acne scars, uneven texture, discoloration and loss of firmness. My Microneedling Rejuvenation Series includes 3 monthly microneedling treatments with 3 nanoneedling sessions in between.
