Acupuncture is a unique system of techniques that treats illness and improves health by stimulating prescribed points on the body. Acupuncture and related techniques redirect the flow of "qi" (or energy) throughout the body to restore balance.
Practiced for more than 2,000 years, acupuncture is one of the safest and most well-researched forms of complementary and alternative therapies in the world.
Enjoy the benefits of acupuncture in the privacy of your own treatment room. All sessions are one-on-one. Private acupuncture treatments allow time and privacy for more detailed dialogue of your condition with a more integrative approach to the treatment.
Cupping is an ancient form of therapy commonly used for a wide variety of complaints. A cupping jar, or cup, is a small bottle with a smooth and rounded mouth used to create a partial vacuum over the skin. This causes the blood to circulate and pulls it towards the surface of the body.
Cupping therapy is extremely effective in achieving fast and long-lasting results in many conditions, especially those related to pain management. The primary aspect of cupping therapy is to move blood and qi (pronounced "chee") and to remove stagnation of any kind from the body. According to Chinese Medicine, pain is caused by stagnant blood and qi in the muscles. By improving blood circulation to the muscles using cupping techniques, the result is relief from pain. Cupping can be used by itself or in addition to an acupuncture treatment.
Moxibustion is a form of fire heat treatment that stimulates specific acupuncture points of the body. Moxibustion therapy in conjunction with acupuncture can be very effective for many diseases and conditions including back pain, muscle stiffness, headaches, migraines, tendonitis, arthritis, digestive disorders, anxiety, and female health problems such as menstrual cramps, irregular periods and infertility.
Moxibustion can be applied in many different ways and the expected physiological reactions from moxibustion can greatly vary depending on the type and technique used. Moxibustion can be used safely and effectively for most patients.
The use of plant medicines is one of the oldest and most thoroughly researched aspects of Traditional Chinese Medicine. It is a powerful complement to acupuncture, extending the benefits of a treatment greatly. But can also be a powerful stand alone treatment. Much like acupuncture, herbs can be used to regulate our internal balance, addressing many common complaints. During an herbal consult you will meet with Adina to discuss your main complaints as well as a treatment plan to address those complaints.

Aroma Acupoint Therapy, or AAT, is a gentle, completely safe and yet profoundly effective treatment modality that utilizes the energetic potential locked within pure essential oils. Treatment involves placing particular oils on specific acupoints or reflex zones on the body in order to trigger energetic changes in the individual that will bring her back to a state of balance.
Aroma Acupoint Therapy works on the basis of mutual resonance through the systematic and intentional combination of essential oils and acupoints, resulting in a more significant clinical effect than using either of these treatment methods alone. The basic premise is that essential oils, being energetically just as active as acupuncture points, have the ability to stimulate the points in a similar way as needles. However, the difference between them lies in the fact that unlike acupuncture needles, essential oils are also able to provide a content of information to the point that will suggest a particular type of therapeutic action. The basic aim is always to select an oil that possesses the same function as an acupoint; an oil that will activate a particular point function. This is an excellent treatment for those who may be afraid of needles and/or children.

Though Facial Rejuvenation Acupuncture can sometimes be referred to as an Acupuncture facelift, it is more than a cosmetic procedure. It is a rejuvenation and revitalization process designed to help the whole body look and feel younger. The Facial Rejuvenation Acupuncture treatment is based on the principles of Oriental Medicine and involves the insertion of hair-thin needles into particular areas of the arms, trunk, and legs along channels or meridians of energy called Qi (pronounced chee) while simultaneously stimulating facial muscles and meridian systems with microcurrent and light therapy with the addition of gemstones. Specific points are chosen to manipulate the movement of energy in the body according to the individual's needs. Thousands of years ago the Chinese discovered that many meridians either begin or end on the face while some have internal branches that go to the face. Thus, specifically effecting the face while also treating the underlying factors that contribute to the aging process.
